• Sarah had a pretty good day today. ?She played while her mommy made her food and then she went to the store with her mommy. ?Then, this evening she chatted with her Grandma and Grandpa before bath and bed.

Attached is a photo we snapped of Sarah before she talked with her Grandma and Grandpa.

  • Loved the photo's ? thank you ?Great grandma and grandpa

  • Long time no updates.? We had a very busy July, highlights included All Star Game Weekend in Cincinnati, visiting all 20 mustaches throughout the city, visits from Grandpa and Aunt Erin, and a trip to Northern Michigan.

On Saturday this weekend, we went to our friend's son Alex's birthday.? Their daughter Annabel was very excited to play with Sarah. On Sunday we went to the Children's Museum before grocery shopping.

We still have more photos to upload so more coming soon!

  • Nice photos Dan. Looks like you are doing lots to stay cool. Love to all, ?mom

  • And here are some more photos from Memorial Day weekend...
  • Dan forgot to mention that Will had his 9 month checkup yesterday and was given a clean bill of health. The pediatrician is happy with his development and growth. Will now weighs 20 lbs 11 oz (68th percentile) is 30 inches long (97th percentile) and had a head circumference of 18.5 inches (94th percentile).
  • Will has great grandpas build!!! Beautiful kids. So nice to see them grow. Lots of hugs and kisses your way.
  • Wow, it's been a long time since we sent an update. This isn't even all of the photos. I should send the rest off the camera when we get home.? We've had a pretty busy month. Sarah got a hair cut, Will is now crawling, sitting and pulling up. They have been interesting together now that Will's mobile. A lot more talk of sharing and not taking things from / pushing over brother.

Sarah is getting quite a vocabulary, especially when it comes to sass.? Here latest phrases include:

    ?- "In a minute!"
    ?- "That's not necessary"
    ?- "The Flaming Palisades"

She's also started doing a lot of singing and creative play where she tells stories about her toys and narrates their adventures. She has been very into Legos and Star Wars lately, especially since we watched A New Hope and Clone Wars. ?

Will is starting to develop quite the personality as well. He's a pretty happy baby, though he seems to be pretty attached right now. He's doing a lot of babbling, but he's also getting out "ma ma" and "da da".?

We've been up to some neat things over the month. Children's museum and parks and the zoo.? Last weekend of Memorial Day we came up to Port Clinton and we've stayed through this weekend to go to Tricia's cousin Mikey's graduation.

    -Dan

Potty training is going... interesting.? Lots of wet undies.? Sarah told her mommy today when she had to go, "I have feelings!" aka I have the 'potty' feeling.

This week and the weekend have been a little less nice, so we haven't had quite as much of a chance to get out.? On Saturday, we went to Aunt/Cousin Mo's baby gender reveal.? Sarah had a blast with the other little kids and Will was fascinated by the other babies.? On Sunday, we had an interesting adventure trying to get breakfast as Holtman's ran out of doughnuts early and Taste of Belgium had a 90 minute wait, so we ended up going over the river to First Watch, where Sarah told us how she'd been there with Grandma and Grandpa and how she'd played in the atrium with Grandpa.

We've been working on sleep training Will and potty training Sarah, so either our life should be a lot easier in the next week or so or crazier.

    Sarah quote of the day:

    **While licking a lemon**
    Daddy: "Does it taste sour?"
Sarah: "No, it tastes like lello (yellow)"

1/2 way through March already! The first week of March seemed to be the last gasp of winter.? Sarah got some more time to play in the snow, though it was far less than the previous week.? Will went in for his six month appointment on Tuesday and Sarah went along despite that "her shoes don't walk in the rain".? He is 18lbs (58th percentile), 27.25 inches tall (74th percentile) and 18in head circumference (97th percentile).? He was very good and didn't pee on the nurse (only on the chair and scale).? There were unexpected visitors on Wednesday when Aunt Erin and Uncle Matt showed up and they all went to the zoo.? Uncle Matt brought down more projects and Uncle Matt and Aunt Erin helped Sarah build them.

I was able to catch an earlier flight back and surprised everyone on Friday morning.? Friday and most of Saturday was rainy, though Saturday afternoon got nicer so we went to get Graeter's for Ice Cream (thanks Great Uncle Dan!!) ?Today was a very busy day, we went to mass, then headed down to OTR for doughnuts and then walked across the Purple People Bridge to see the flooding of the Ohio River.? Sarah had a great time playing at the playground and walking around the river.? After all that hiking (she did do a lot of walking it was just harder to wrangle two kids and get pictures) Sarah was very hungry?and needed a snack?so we stopped at Hofbrauhaus for pretzels.? She ate a whole soft pretzel and both she and Will enjoyed the polka (especially the clapping).

  • Happy Holidays everyone!? We had a pretty exciting last 10 days.? On Thursday, we all went to my company's party.? Sarah was so tired when they showed up for the party, she fell asleep on the couch and was out for a good half hour, prompting one of the little girls to ask "where did the sleeping princess go" after Sarah woke up.

After the party, we went up to Grand Rapids by way of a stop at Port Clinton to drop Cameron with YaYa and a stop in Lansing to visit her Great-Grandma and Grandpa.? Sarah was really happy to see her Grandma and Grandpa and was excited to see her Aunt Mara and pick up her Uncle David at the airport.? The next morning, we all went out to Founders for Aunt Mara's 21st birthday and then went back to the condo for an early Christmas party.? Sarah and WIll both enjoyed unwrapping presents and were excited for their gifts. ?

Eventually, everyone else ended up going up to the cottage and we went south to Port Clinton.? We arrived just in time to make the Heschel party where Sarah had fun playing with her cousins and Will was the life of the party.? The next evening was the Campbell party where Sarah found / chased "her" kitty and Will was passed around the Aunts and Uncles.? The next morning Sarah and Will woke at a reasonable time and had a lot of fun opening and playing with their presents.

On Friday, we had a fairly relaxed day, and today we used the wagon for the first time to get lunch at Coffee Express.
